01 WaterfallMunduk Waterfall
Munduk Waterfall is the best-known cascade in the area, dropping through dense jungle a short walk from the village. A shaded path leads down past coffee and clove trees to the base of the falls. The cool spray and green surroundings make it a refreshing stop. Several other waterfalls lie nearby, so it is easy to link a few on one walk.

02 Twin fallsBanyumala Waterfall
Banyumala is a wide, twin-stream waterfall that drops into a green amphitheatre of ferns and jungle. A steep path descends to a clear pool at its base that is good for a cool swim. It is quieter than some of the region's better-known falls and feels enclosed and green. The climb back up is steep, so it is worth pacing the descent.

03 Lake templeUlun Danu Beratan
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan is a lake temple on the shore of Lake Beratan, one of the most photographed sights in Bali. Its shrines appear to float on the water when the level is high, backed by misty mountains. The temple honours the goddess of the lake that waters the surrounding farmland. Gardens and a small park surround the site, which sits at Bedugul near Munduk.
Entry around 75,000 rupiah (about 5 US dollars), open roughly 07:00 to 18:00; at Bedugul, a short drive from Munduk.

04 ViewpointWanagiri hilltop viewpoints
The Wanagiri ridge above the twin lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan is lined with hilltop viewpoints and photo platforms. Swings, nests and gates are set up to frame the lakes and forest below. On clear mornings the view over the two lakes is the highlight of the area. Cloud often fills the valley later in the day, adding a moody, mountain feel.
