A reference guide to the sights worth seeing in Uluwatu, what each one is and why it's worth your time.
Uluwatu occupies the limestone cliffs of the Bukit Peninsula at Bali's southern tip, known for its surf breaks and its clifftop temple. Pura Luhur Uluwatu stands high above the sea and stages a Kecak fire dance at sunset, while the beaches below, Padang Padang, Bingin and Suluban, sit at the foot of steep cliff paths. The swell that draws surfers here is among the most consistent on the island. A day allows a beach in the morning and the temple dance in the evening.
