Kuta Beachwalk is the main mall in Kuta, on Jalan Pantai Kuta directly opposite Kuta Beach. Bali Holiday Secrets (updated November 2025) calls it the place people head when they have had enough sun and want air conditioning, and NOW Bali (January 2025) describes a lifestyle centre with a flowing, open-air design. Inside Beachwalk
The mall has three main floors, L1 to L3, plus a basement level, according to Bali Holiday Secrets. International brands cluster on the ground and second floors, and NOW Bali names Zara, Mango, Uniqlo, H&M, Victoria’s Secret and a Foodmart supermarket among them. The same source says Beachwalk is attached to the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, Aloft Bali Kuta and YELLO Hotel Kuta.
Entry is free. Prices are in line with international rates, so this is a place to shop for convenience, not for bargains. Basement parking costs Rp 2,000 to 5,000 an hour and is crowded at peak times, and the basement also holds ATMs, a money changer and a pharmacy.
Eating and the sunset deck
The third floor has a food court and a sunset deck with restaurants overlooking Kuta Beach, which Bali Holiday Secrets rates as one of the best places in the mall for dinner. The main patio is public and the restaurant areas are gated, so you can watch the sun go down without ordering. On weekends the mall usually brings in a DJ at sunset. Ground-floor cafes include Starbucks and Arabica, and NOW Bali notes a Cinema XXI with a premiere screen.
Crowds build after 4pm, when beachgoers cross over, and evenings are busiest, especially at weekends.
Reviews are mixed. Bali Holiday Secrets says visitors praise the open-air design, the brand selection and the sunset deck, while others complain about the confusing layout, inconsistent air conditioning and pushy vendors outside. It also advises skipping the private taxis that wait outside the mall, which it says tend to overcharge, and using a metered Bluebird taxi instead.
Kuta Art Market
The market is on Jalan Kuta Art Market, listed as No. 18, a short walk from Segara Beach next to Kuta Beach. Bali Holiday Secrets says it has been here since international tourism began in the 1970s, when Kuta was still a fishing village, and that families first sold sarongs and small carvings. Today it is a maze of stalls selling clothes, trinkets and Balinese art. The same guide says the market grew busier through the 1980s and 1990s, and that with Discovery Mall and Beachwalk down the road it is no longer the only shopping option.
It opens officially from 8am to 10pm, though stalls keep their own hours and some close on Balinese Hindu holidays. Entry is free, parking is Rp 5,000 to 10,000, and payment is cash only. Bargaining is expected: the source suggests offering about half the asking price, walking away if the figure is wrong, and not over-haggling once the price feels fair. Budget 30 to 60 minutes. The same guide says many stalls sell the same goods.
Getting there and combining
From the airport the market is about a 15-minute drive. Seminyak is about 5 km away, and Canggu about 18 km, according to the same source. Most Kuta hotels are within walking distance.
