Top attractions in Amed

Jemeluk Bay and the USAT Liberty wreck at Tulamben, the black sand at Amed Beach, and Lahangan Sweet above.

Amed is a quiet run of fishing villages along Bali's dry north-east coast, built around black-sand bays and some of the island's best snorkelling and diving. Jemeluk Bay has coral and a shore-entry reef, while the wreck of the USAT Liberty at nearby Tulamben is a short drive up the coast. The hilltop bamboo platform at Lahangan Sweet frames Mount Agung inland. The pace is slow, and days here centre on the water and the volcano views.
