The best things to do in Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is a planned resort enclave on the east coast of the Bukit peninsula, with calm reef-sheltered beaches, a handful of cultural stops inside the estate and the water sports of Tanjung Benoa just to the north. It suits easy, contained stays rather than street life.

  1. 1

    Swim on the calm beaches

An offshore reef keeps the water sheltered along Nusa Dua Beach, Geger Beach, Pantai Mengiat and Nikko Beach, by a 2026 Traveloka guide. Geger Beach is about 3 km from the southern end of the enclave. Check the tide, because at low tide the water can retreat and seaweed floats in the shallows.

  2. 2

    Watch the Waterblow

Swells squeeze through a gap in a limestone cliff inside the estate and throw spray up to 30 metres, by Wikipedia. It only happens at high tide. Sources disagree on whether there is a fee, so carry a little cash.

  3. 3

    Visit Puja Mandala

Five houses of worship stand side by side: a Hindu temple, a mosque, a Catholic church, a Protestant church and a Buddhist vihara. A 2025 guide says entry is free with donations welcome, and asks visitors to cover shoulders and knees. A house may close for a service.

  4. 4

    See Museum Pasifika

An art museum in the estate. The Indonesian tourism board describes 600 works by 200 artists from 25 countries across Asia and the Pacific. Sources differ on pavilions, hours and price, so check before you go.

  5. 5

    Walk through Bali Collection

An open-air shopping and dining area of about 8 hectares inside the enclave. A 2026 Traveloka guide lists international brands, local boutiques, restaurants and a cinema, with free entry. Many hotels are within walking distance.

  6. 6

    Catch the Devdan show

A staged performance at the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre of Indonesian dance, acrobatics and costume, described by a 2026 Traveloka guide as family-friendly. Tickets are paid, and you can compare options on our Nusa Dua tours page.

  7. 7

Try water sports at Tanjung Benoa

Jet skiing, banana boats, parasailing and flyboarding run from the peninsula north of the enclave, by a 2026 Traveloka guide. Our Nusa Dua tours page also lists sea walking. Compare what each package includes before booking.

  8. 8

    Stroll the Tanjung Benoa village

Wikipedia says the original Balinese village of Benoa is here, with a mosque and Chinese and Hindu temples close together. Hotels are generally cheaper than in Nusa Dua. Much of the beach sand was washed away after nearby reef was mined for construction materials.

  9. 9

    Drive to Bingin Beach

About 50 minutes by road from Nusa Dua, with a walk down steps from the cliff top. See our Bingin Beach page, as buildings on the cliff were demolished in 2025. The wider Uluwatu coast is 35 to 55 minutes away by a July 2026 guide.
